Crafting For Money

FuzzB

FuzzB is a new online marketplace where you can sell handmade items quickly, easily, and at low or no cost. From scented candles to crocheted scarves, from hand-knitted baby clothes to vintage jewelry, you can sell anything that you have created yourself without ever paying any listing or final value fees.

There are several options for sellers of hand-crafted items. If you open a free store, you can list up to ten handmade items for sale absolutely free of charge. There is no store fee, no listing fee, no final sale fee and no other fees whatsoever.

If you would like to sell more than ten items, you can set up a low-cost VIP store at the introductory price of $5 per month. For a limited period of time, you can also take advantage of a further special offer that enables you to pay just $25 per year for life. This means that the cost of your store rental will never increase, even in ten or twenty years’ time, and the store rental is the only fee that you pay for a VIP store – there are no listing fees, no final sale fees and no other fees of any kind.

If you already sell your handmade items on other websites, such as eBay, Etsy and ArtFire, FuzzB’s Gateway service enables you to promote and sell in one place all of the items that you have already listed on other websites. The Gateway service costs $7 per month or you can open a FuzzB VIP store for $10 per month.

Once you have selected your preferred option, it is very easy to set up a store or gateway and start selling your creations. All you need to do is to go to the “Sell” section of the FuzzB website and click on the “Open a Free Store” or “Open a VIP Store” button. You will be directed to a short online form and asked to give such details as your name, email address, and store name. You can also upload a profile picture to represent your store on FuzzB.

Once you have completed and submitted the sign-up form, you can open your online store or Gateway by selecting the “open a store or FuzzB Gateway” link.  You will then be taken to the subscription setup page. Ensure that the correct type of store is selected. For example, if you have chosen to set up a free store, the “basic store” option should be selected. Fill in your contact details on this webpage and press the “proceed” button at the foot of the page.

You will receive an email confirming your subscription and including the store name and password that you selected on your sign-up form.

Now it’s time to set up your store.
Log into FuzzB, select the “manage my store” option and then the “my store” tab. Click on the “main settings” tab at the top of the page and fill in the following fields:

  • Store name.
  • Store description – describe briefly what your store offers.
  • Store Meta keywords – type in a few keywords to describe your store. Think of the search terms that prospective buyers may use to find your store. For example, if you sell costume jewelry, type in “costume jewelry” and “jewelry.”
  • Store logo – upload your store logo, if you have one, or type in a link to your logo, if it already appears on the Internet.
  • Store design – you can personalize your storefront by choosing from a range of different templates. Browse through the list of available designs and choose the one that you like best.

When you have followed all of these steps, press the “proceed” button.

You can then set up web pages explaining your stores policies, including your shipping information. In order to do this, click on the “Store Pages” tab and fill in the online form.

Once you have established your store, you can start to list items for sale by selecting the “list a new item” tab. There are two different ways in which you can sell handmade products on FuzzB. You can either set up an auction, allowing prospective buyers to place bids in a similar fashion to eBay; or you can fix a “buy-it-now” price, which allows a buyer to purchase the item at the set price.

FuzzB sellers can also become involved in the FuzzB online community in a variety of ways. You can upload or watch a craft-related video or commercial. You can connect with other users on the forum or promote your store more widely by becoming a featured seller. In order to do this, all you need to do is to submit your answers to the interview questions. See the button marked “get featured” in the community section for more details.

Another way in which you can promote your items for sale on FuzzB more widely on the Internet is by downloading your own store widget and posting it on your website, blog, Facebook page, and anywhere else on the Internet where you have a presence.

FuzzB is an excellent venue for artists, artisans and craftspeople to sell their creations online at little or no cost. If you are just starting to sell your handmade items, FuzzB can help you to establish an online storefront quickly, easily and at very low cost. If you are already an established online marketer of your own products, FuzzB provides another forum for promoting and selling your items to a wider audience.
